In 1955, the Graduation, Graduate Students Committee was formed as an adjunct to the Graduation Committee. Whereas the Graduation Committee was in charge of overseeing all undergraduates, the Graduation, Graduate Students Committee was commissioned to monitor graduation requirements and eligibility of all graduate students. The first chairman of this committee was Leonard W. Rice.
