Hawkins (1999-2001), D. Russell Crane (2001-2007), and Randal D. Day, director (2007- ). Alan J Hawkins serves as the current director.

Functions

The Family Studies Center researches the relationship between the family and other important institutions such as governments, schools, and business, as well as social contexts including households, neighborhoods, and cultures. Research findings are presented through publications, conferences, symposia, seminars, and lectures. The center helps organizations design and implement programs to aid couples and individuals in building and sustaining stronger families. The programs are designed to prevent family problems, including family violence, child abuse and neglect, divorce, financial mismanagement, and substance abuse.

The Family Studies Center was administered by a director, under the direction of the college dean.
