Brigham Young University. Division of Instructional Production Services
Instituted in 1974, the Division of Instructional Production Services was a major umbrella of media services. It was headed by Darrel J. Monson until his death in 1975. The division was then assumed by William Farnsworth until its reorganization into Media Services in 1976.

Functions
The personnel in this division were trained in all types of instructional production to provide guidance for the production activities. They worked very closely with the personnel in the Instructional Development and Evaluation areas of the Division of Instructional Research, Development, and Evaluation. The division is organized into three parts: Instructional Photo/Graphic Production; Instructional Television; and Motion Picture Production.
