In 1921 the College of Arts and Sciences was formed from the School of Arts and Sciences.  The Dept. of Theology was made a department of the College in that year.  George H. Brimhall and William H. Snell served as the Department Chairs until the department was abolished in 1929.  The department was renamed the Dept. of Religious Education and remained in the College of Arts and Sciences.
