Brigham Young University. Dept. of Physical Science

After Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah became an university, academics were separated into three areas, the College, the Normal School, and the High School. The Department of Physical Science was organized in 1905 under the College, a result of the earlier division of the Department of Science. The Department of Physical Science divided in 1907 into two new departments: the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Physics.
