The Department of Physical Education-Sports was established in 1981 when the Departments of Physical Education for Men and Women were abolished. This department worked with the Department of Physical Education-Dance in providing activity courses for the entire student body. The following individuals served as chairmen: Elmo S. Roundy (1981-1986), Boyd O. Jarman (1986-1992), and Robert K. Conlee (1992-1993).
