The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science was established in 2003 under the direction of the College of Biology and Agriculture. It replaced the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. In 2007 it remained in the renamed College of Life Sciences. Department chairmen included: Lynn V. Ogden (2003-2007), Oscar A. Pike (2007-2008), and Michael L. Dunn (2008- ).

Functions

The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science offered the following majors: dietetics, food industry management, food science, and nutritional science. Available minors included food science and nutrition.
