The Department of L.D.S. Theology, Church Organization and Administration established in 1959 in a reorganization of the earlier Division of Religion. The department included components of the earlier departments of Church History and Theology and Philosophy. It was a part of the College of Religious Instruction from 1959 to 1964. In 1964 the department was merged with the other departments in the college to form the departments of Undergraduate Studies in Religious Instruction and Graduate Studies in Religious Instruction. The following individuals served as chairman: G. Byron Done (1959-1960) and Rodney Turner (1960-1964).
