The Department of Industrial Technology was a part of the College of Industrial and Technical Education beginning in 1966. Ross "J" McArthur served as dean.

Functions
The Department of Industrial Technology offered a two-year associate industrial technician program as well as four-year baccalaureate programs in Tool and Manufacturing Technology, Construction Technology, and Design and Drafting Technology. Courses included that of Acetylene Welding I, Gas and Diesel Engines, and Concrete and Masonry.
