The Department of Industrial Education was placed in the College of Engineering and Technology in 1984. Department chairs included Edwin C. Hinckley (1966-1972), William E. McKell (1972-1973), Garth A. Hill (1984-1993). In the 1993-1994 academic year, the Department of Industrial Education was changed to the Department of Technology Education and Construction Management.

Courses included that of Woodwork Fundamentals, Graphic Arts, and Metal Crafts and Lapidary.
