In 1954 the Department of Industrial Arts was renamed: the Department of INdustiral Arts and Drawing. The curriculum focused the department to provide a program for teaching industrial arts, drawing, and industrial arts. Department chairmen included: William H. Snell (1954), Lavell Gamett (1955-1957), and Guy Pierce (1958-1960).
