The Department of Human Development and Family Relationships was a part of the College of Family Living beginning in 1955. In 1964 it was merged with the Department of Homemaking Education to form the Department of Family Life Education. Marion C. Pfund (1955-1956) and Blaine M. Porter (1956-1964) served as chairmen.
