The Department of Household Administration was established under the College of Applied Science in 1922, and was formerly known as the Department of Home Economics. In 1930 the department was merged with the departments of Food and Nutrition and Clothing and Textiles to form the new Department of Home Economics. Department chairmen included Ethel Cutler (1922-1923) and Effie Warnick (1924-1929).
