In 1922, Brigham Young University created the College of Commerce and Business Administration out of the Department of Commerce and Business Administration from the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department of Finance and Banking was one of five departments created within it and it administered courses in Public Finance, Business Finance Economic History, Contracts, Property, and Investments.
