The primary objectives of the Department of Family Sciences are: 1) to educate students in depth for occupational careers that involve working with children, individuals, and families in meeting their developmental, behavioral, relationship, financial, and consumption needs; and 2) to help students develop skills in working with children and families, problem-solving, and resource management.
