Brigham Young University. Dept. of Elementary Teaching
During its first year, the College of Education did not have any separate departments for the administration of coursework. Then in 1922, it created several new departments, including the Department of Elementary Teaching. The department offered courses educational methods, teaching primary and middle school grades, literature, libraries, classroom management, testing, and hygiene and sanitation. In 1930, the department was renamed the Department of Elementary Education, while maintaining its coursework and administrative functions.
