Brigham Young University. Dept. of Elementary Teaching

The Department of Elementary Teaching was established in 1922 within the College of Education in Brigham Young University. The department offered courses educational methods, teaching primary and middle school grades, literature, libraries, classroom management, testing, and hygiene and sanitation. In 1930, the department was renamed the Department of Elementary Education, while maintaining its coursework and administrative functions.
