The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was part of the College of Engineering and Technology in 1987-1988. Previously it was called the Department of Electrical Engineering. The Department Chairs were: Douglas M. Chabries (1987-1991); David J. Comer (1991-1994); Brent E. Nelson (1994-1998); and Richard L. Frost (1998-2004). In 2004 the name of the College of Engineering and Technology was changed to the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was part of that college.
