The Department of Electrical Engineering was placed in the College of Engineering Sciences and Technology in 1977-1978. Previously it was within the College of Physical and Engineering Sciences. The Department Chairs were: Ferril A. Losee (1977-1978)and Jens J. Jonsson (1978-1984). In 1984-1985 the college was renamed the College of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Electrical Engineering was within that college.
