The Department of Educational Psychology was established after the dissolution of the Department of Education in 1972. Department chairmen included: Darwin F. Gale (1972-1987), Ronald D. Bingham (1987-1988), Parley W. Newman (1988-1990), and Ronald D. Bingham (1990-1997).
