Functions

To provide an opportunity to study the management of family resources in terms of the goals of all family members. The student is helped to understand that choices in regard to the uses of material goods, time, energy, money, abilities, and skills are made primarily on the basis of family relationships and the optimum development of the individual.

The Department of Economics and Management of the Home was a department within the College of Family Living. The Department Chair was under the direction of the Dean of the College of Family Living.
