The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering was placed in the College of Engineering and Technology in 1994. Previously it was the Department of Civil Engineering. The Department Chairs were: S. Olani Durrant (1994-1995), T. Leslie Youd (1995-2001), and A. Woodruff Miller (2001-2004). In 2004 the College of Engineering and Technology was renamed the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering was part of that college.
