The Department of Chemical Engineering Science was created and placed in the College of Physical and Engineering Science in 1958. Previously it was part of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering within the College of Physical and Engineering Science.  The Department Chairs were:  Billings Brown (1958-1960), James J.
