The Dept. of Business Management was created in 1954 to produce effective business managers. Curriculum focused on analysis of problems in business, make reasoned decisions, communicate effectively, and implement policy. Richard L. Smith served as department chairman from 1954 to 1956. The department was eventually disbanded and incorporated into the Dept. of Industrial Management.
