In 1922, Brigham Young University created the College of Commerce and Business administration out of the Department of Commerce and Business Administration within the College of Arts and Sciences. The Department of Accounting and Business Administration was one of five departments created within it and administered courses in Accounting, Marketing, Commercial Art, Statistics, and Tax Procedure.
