The known chairmen were A. D. Woodruff (1952-1953), Alonzo Smith Pond (1953- before 1956), Dean P. Farnsworth (1956- before 1963), Ariel S. Ballif (before 1963- before 1968), Chauncey C. Riddle (before 1968- 1969), John H. Gardner (1969- before 1980) and Neal E. Lambert (1981-1983).

| − | Originally this Committee met to receive, review, and recommend action on all changes in curriculum. Later, along with these duties, they reviewed minors and split minors with pass/fail grading and reviewed and made suggestions on any aspect of academic life at BYU. Following its restructuring in the 1970's, this Committee oversaw the orderly development of all curriculum, eliminated undesirable duplication of curriculum, reduced the overall number of courses, encouraged thoughtful review and desirable changes in academic programs and reviewed new academic programs.
