The Committee on Tenure was organized to follow the council on tenure by the Board of Trustees for Brigham Young University. The chairmen of the committee was Chauncey C. Riddle who worked with the President of the University Ernest L. Wilkinson in following the Board of Trustees. The idea of legal tenure was against the Board and policies were implemented to avoid confusion and follow the council.
