Brigham Young University. Chinese Flagship Center

The Chinese Flagship Center is a language training program established at Brigham Young University in 2002. Created with grant funding from the National Security Education Program (NSEP), the Chinese Flagship Center assists students in learning the Chinese language through academic and practical study. Dana Bourgerie served as the director of the center from 2002 to 2013.

Functions

The Chinese Flagship Center seeks to prepare students to function in Chinese in academic and professional fields of study, and for careers related to China. The program includes on-campus language study, a study-abroad experience at Nanjing University in China, and internship placement at a Chinese institution related to the student's academic studies.
