In 1997, the Center for Statistical and Computing Research became the Center for Statistical Consultation and Collaborative Research. At this same time, the Center began hiring a full-time director, Dennis L. Eggett, who continues in this position.

Functions

The Center provides assistance with statistical research by helping design and interpret experiments and survey sampling plans for projects with the potential to be published. Although the Center is open to all, it is used primarily by faculty and graduate students from all departments. The Center also offers valuable consulting work experience to graduate students within the Statistics Department.

Assets and Administrative Structure

The Center is run by a director. As a part of the Department of Statistics, the director reports to the department chairman.
