The Benefits Committee was created around 1972. This Committee was chaired by B. Keith Duffin (1972-1984) and Warren R. Nielsen (1984-1990). The Benefits Committee acted in an advisory capacity to Personnel Services in its administration of benefits programs; it represented faculty, staff, and administration in discussions concerning benefits; it considered and advised special complaints relating to benefits; evaluated the benefits programs and proposed improvements; research new ideas for benefits and propose these to Administration.
