When Auxiliary Services was organized as a separate entity in 1958, Ben E. Lewis was appointed its director.  He served in that capacity until 1964 when he was appointed Vice-President of Auxiliary and Communications Services.  At that time, two directors were appointed under him: Fred A. Schwendiman, Director of Auxiliary Services Director and Darrel J. Monson, Director of Communication Services (see catalog 1966-68 pg. 466).  Mr. Lewis was then named Vice-President of Business Affairs in 1968.  Auxiliary Services remained under his jurisdiction and Fred A. Schwendiman was appointed its new director.
