Brigham Young University. Attendance and Scholarship Committee
The Attendance and Scholarship Committee was created in 1921 to help define and enforce University policy regarding attendance and failing grades. Its chairmen included M. P. Henderson (1921-1924), Thomas C. Romney (1924-1928), C. S. Boyle (1928-1932), W. H. Boyle (1932-1945), Joseph K. Nicholes (1945-1946), Monroe H. Clark (1946-1954) and Selby G. Clark (1954-1955).

Functions
The function of the Attendance and Scholarship Committee was originally to set and enforce University policy regarding attendance and failing grades. They were likewise in charge of any discipline resulting from the infraction thereof. Ultimately, however, the committee was placed in charge of student discipline as a whole.

This committee reported to the Dean of Students, who was likewise a member of the committee.
