Brigham Young University. Agricultural Education

Agricultural Education was an interdisciplinary program established as part of the College of Agricultural and Biological Sciences in 1964. Previously, agricultural education was taught through the Technical and Semi-Professional Institute, but without a teaching component. In 1970 the program curriculum was further expanded, and it was renamed Biological and Agricultural Education. The coordinator for the program was Rudger H. Walker (1964-1970).

Functions

The Agricultural Education program was an interdisciplinary major designed to prepare students to teach vocational agriculture at the high school level. The program offered a bachelor's of science composite teaching degree.
