Functions

Academic Standards provided personal services to students, specifically those on academic warning, probation, or suspension, as well as consultation to other campus departments regarding academic policy and issues. It specifically answered questions pertaining to grading policies, academic standing and personal status. Academic Standards would identify, notify and assist students not meeting the academic standards of BYU.

Assets and Administrative Structure

Academic Standards worked under the direction of the Dean of Students within Student Personnel Services until 1972 when it moved under Student Life.
