Ballard Center for Social Impact
The Ballard Center for Social Impact was established in 2020 in a renaming of the earlier Ballard Center for Economic Self-Reliance. The center partners with other organizations in support of positive social change. Managing directors of the center included Steven R. Fox (2020-2023) and Eva Witesman (2023- ).

Functions
The Center supports students and faculty working in the area of social entrepreneurship. It provided students with opportunities for practical applications of their classroom education. The Center's flagship program, the Peery Social Entrepreneurship Program, offers these opportunities through on-campus internships, annual competitions, and consultations with social entrepreneurs around the world.

The Center is run by a managing director under the direction of the dean of the Marriott School of Management.
