In 2006 the School of Accountancy and Information Systems was renamed the School of Accountancy. Directors of the program included Kevin D. Stocks (2006-2012), Steve Glover (2012-2013), and Jeff Wilks (2013- ).

The school teaches students what they term the "language of business"--controlling, analyzing, and reporting the financial resources of a company. Students may receive a BS in Accounting as undergraduates, and Masters of Accounting in Professional Accountancy or in Tax.
