The Information Technology division was created after a restructuring of the Library Information Systems Dept. in September, 2007. Bill Lund has served as AUL since its inception.

Functions

The division included three departments: 1) Digital Initiatives, 2) Web Programming & Design, and 3) Library Information Systems. The division's stated goals were to continue to implement new tools, methods, and practices that promote fast and easy information retrieval. In conjunction with this goal, LIT worked to implement Primo as well as Ex Libris, as well as other digital infrastructure initiatives. LIT also worked with the Digital Library which consists of storage, processors, software. The division has also included the Primo and Ex Libris unit and Office of Digital Content Management.

In 2012, division consisted of Library Information Systems, Web Programming & Design, Desktop and Servers Operations, and Digital Initiatives.
