Harold B. Lee Library. Current Periodicals and Course Reserve

In 1985 Current Periodicals and Course Reserve merged to form a new department within the General Services Division. In 1991 Current Periodicals and Course Reserve was transferred to the Collection Development Division. From the Collections Development Division, Current Periodicals and Course Reserve was transferred to the Circulation Department in the Public Services Division in 1992. The department chair of Current Periodicals and Course Reserve was Tom Wells (1985-1992).

Functions

Current Periodicals and Course Reserve housed all of the unbound periodicals, when the periodicals were bound they were moved to their individual subject floors. Patrons of the Library could read the unbound periodicals, but could not check them out of the library. The Course Reserve section was where professors could put materials on reserve for their students.
