The Student Organizations Committee was created in 1952 to supervise, advise and coordinate the activities of student organizations. Its chairmen included Thomas Broadbent (1946-1947), John F. Jones (1947-1949), Ellvert H. Himes (1949-1951), Harold Glen Clark (1951-1952), Royden C. Braithwaite (1952-1953), Henry L. Isaksen (1953-1957), Paul Felt (1957-1962), and C. Lavar Rockwood (1962-1966).

The function of the Student Organizations Committee was to supervise, advise and coordinate the activities of student organizations.

The chairman of this committee was the Student Organizations Coordinator. From 1952 to 1955 the Student Organizations Committee reported to Special Services, and from 1955 to 1966 Student Organizations Committee reported to Student Personnel Services.
