Functions
The purposes and objectives of the Faculty Personnel Committee included: recommending improved policies and programs for the University; obtaining qualified, permanent, and stable LDS faculty who will also be researchers; recruiting; induction; analyzing trends--especially Faculty turnover; etc.

The Faculty Personnel Committee worked closely with the Director of the Placement Bureau and was run by a Chairman. Sub-committees were as follows: Committee on Faculty Procurement; Committee on Effective Utilization of Faculty; Committee on Faculty Compensation; and the Committee on Faculty Morale and Motivation.
