The Division of Provisional Registration assisted students who came to the university without a major. Ernest C. Jeppsen (1964-1966) and Dale Goodson (1966-1968) served as chairmen.

Functions

The Division of Provisional Registration assigned a registration adviser to each student without a major. The adviser was to assist the student on academic problems until finding a major. Students in Provisional Registration were to take outlined courses in general education until selecting a major and transferring to the appropriate college.

The Division of Provisional Registration functioned under the administration, for some time, of chairman, under a college dean.
