Functions

The Department of Home Economics included three areas of study: domestic science, household administration, and the domestic arts. Courses included cookery, foods, institutional cookery, nutrition, dietetics, home care of the sick, child care, home management problems, clothing, textiles, sewing, advanced dress making, and millinery.
